MISSISSIPPI LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS' ASSOCIATION

PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

To all MLEOA members and potential members,

First, I would like to thank all of the members of the Mississippi Law Enforcement Officers’ Association for electing me as your next President of the association.  I will continue to try to move the association forward, just as the previous Presidents have, by increasing memberships and offering different types of training.  This will be done with a lot of help from both, the members of the Executive Board and all of the current members.  The only way that we can make MLEOA grow is by working together and encouraging non-members and departments to join.  I know that we will make this happen.

I have had the honor of working with some of the best board members who have gone above and beyond what was asked of them.  It is with this dedication and commitment that we will strive to stay on top as one of the best law enforcement associations in the nation.  One of my main goals is to see the retirement system addressed for law enforcement.  This is something that I hope to get improved in the near future.  If anyone has any ideas toward this objective, please feel free to contact me or any of the board members.

Just a little bit about me, I have been in law enforcement since 1996 and a member of MLEOA since 2000.  I have served on the Executive Board since 2011, in the capacity of Southern Sergeant At Arms for two years and 1st Vice President for two years.

Once again, I want to thank each and every member of the Mississippi Law Enforcement Officers’ Association for giving me the opportunity to serve you.  I look forward to seeing you at our conferences or trainings.  As always, if you have any questions, concerns or ideas, please contact me or any of the board members.

Sincerely,

Nick Calico,

President of the Mississippi Law Enforcement Officers’ Association
